I don't know how many people like to watch movie alone in the cinema, but I'm one of them. It does look and sound awkward but I've been doing so since I was 15. I like doing movie marathon / watch a single movie alone. Often, I ended up pissed off whenever I watched with someone else. I don't understand how could someone don't understand the story line / understand what's going on or even like who's this, who's that or the worst keep talking most of the hour. Anyway, today, I watched two movies - WARKOP DKI and Sully.
WARKOP DKI is a group of legendary comedians back in the 80's and 90s' and now, they bring back WARKOP. The movie is started with Indro (the only member who're still alive) as a news presenter with big head and tiny body and it was like WTF?! I was expecting to be entertained with lots of laughter because the old WARKOP movies were like that. Without knowing what they said, you would just instantly laugh by their stupidity.
A lot were so excited when the movie is announced especially when the trailer was out, we have a high expectation. We have been missing them for long, but ended up disappointed after saw the movie. Personally, they have chosen the right casts, but horribly poor storyline and dialogues. It's funnier when you see the behind-the-scenes part than the entire movie! So yeah 4.5 /10 for the rating and I'm not sure whether I would watch the part 2 - it's just a big no-no!
The second movie I watched and I've heard good reviews about it which I agreed. This movie reminded me of Denzel Washington's movie - Flight despite the story is different. I truly love it from the beginning and give 8/10 for this true story movie directed by Clint Eastwood.
I'm fully engaged throughout almost 2 hours with a wander mind whether he have made the right decision or not. Tom Hanks portrayed Sully excellently and without a need to say a lot, you know how Sully feel! Despite he saved everyone and everyone called him a hero, he still have doubt about his decision.
It's beautifully made with great movie flows from flashback to present and vice-versa. Sully or Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger was a pilot of US Airways flight 1549 of Airbus A320 in January 2009, who performed a miracle landing at Hudson River. Together with his co ; Jeff Skiles, they saved everyone in the plane (155 people) and yet he was still blamed by the National Transportation Safety Board.
The best movie quote is that " I've had 40 years in the air but in the end, I'll be judged by 208 seconds". C'mon, GIVE IT A GO! It's worth of your time :)
